Arouca & Aveiro Day Tour
This experience combines the best of Arouca and Aveiro in one complete day.
Start with a nature adventure at the Paiva Walkways and the impressive 516 Arouca Suspension Bridge, followed by a traditional lunch in Arouca.
In the afternoon, explore Aveiro, often called the “Venice of Portugal”, and finish the day at Costa Nova, famous for its striped fishermen’s houses and Atlantic coastline.

Drive to Arouca
Our adventure begins with a scenic 1-hour drive from Porto to Arouca, where you'll enjoy picturesque views of rolling hills, lush forests, and charming villages along the way—setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.
516 Bridge
Cross the 516 Arouca, one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world, suspended 175 meters above the Paiva River—an unforgettable thrill with stunning views.
Paiva Walkways
2-hour hike, you’ll be surrounded by lush greenery, the sound of the flowing Paiva River, and panoramic views of the dramatic cliffs.
We will enjoy a traditional Portuguese lunch in the centre of Arouca, followed by a short walk through the village, with time to explore the local centre and discover its traditional convent sweets.
Drive to Aveiro
After lunch, we will drive to Aveiro (1h), a journey of approximately one hour, giving you time to relax and rest after the walk and lunch.
Aveiro & Costa Nova
In Aveiro, we will enjoy a walking tour through the city centre, explore the canals of the “Portuguese Venice”, and then continue to Costa Nova for a relaxed visit to its colourful seaside area.
Returning to Porto
After a day full of adventure, we’ll head back to Porto, enjoying a peaceful drive as we return to your accommodation. At 17:30h return.
